Development
I developed the new TrenTyre Namibia website, transforming it into a modern, fully functional e-commerce platform tailored to the company’s national footprint and operational needs. The website design was provided by a colleague, while I handled the full implementation and custom development.
Key Development Highlights:
- Built an intuitive product filtering system allowing users to find tyres based on vehicle specifications (Tyre Width, Aspect Ratio, Rim Diameter).
- Built custom WooCommerce features to support TrenTyre’s unique sales processes and payment workflows.
- Integrated WooCommerce with Sage X3 in collaboration with a third-party vendor to ensure real-time syncing of product inventory, pricing, SKUs, and attributes.
Implemented custom logic to:
- Show/hide fitment and service options (e.g. Wheel Alignment, Mobile Fitment) based on branch availability and selected services.
- Dynamically adjust checkout notices, order emails, and PDF invoices based on payment method and product availability.
- Include additional fields like vehicle registration number, selected branch, and service checkboxes on checkout, emails, and thank-you pages.
- Display stock notices and conditionally allow “Buy Now,” “Place Order,” or “Request a Quote” based on inventory status.
Developed advanced WooCommerce customizations such as:
- Custom email routing to branches based on selection.
- Integration of service-based surcharges (e.g., balancing, valve fees).
- Conditional display of fields and dynamic updates via AJAX.
- Product category and disclaimers in order emails.
- Custom WooCommerce PDF invoice generator matching TrenTyre’s internal format.
